I love hiking, have started to run more, and am revisiting my old workout DVD’s (perfect for my baby’s nap time).

I am a lover of the outdoors, education, photography, books, words, and funny things.

Basically I am just trying to get healthy, and keep my sense of humor during it all!

Why “Excuses Can Wait”?  Because I am the queen of excuses.  I love food and I love to lounge.  Heck, I love to eat while lounging.  I love going out and trying new foods, I love eating with friends and family.  I love cookies.  I love Mexican food.  Food makes me feel better sometimes.  I make excuses all the time for why I can’t work out or make healthier food choices – and I probably don’t have to list them because you’ve heard them all before.

A little about me: I have enjoyed being active since high school, and have run 3 half marathons, a 10-miler, a 15k, and a smattering of 5k fun races. I like to explore and try new things. I recently became a mom, so that is a huge adjustment in my life. I’m trying to get healthier – but now it’s not just for me, it’s for my family.

I started this blog in 2013, but am back to continue my fitness journey. Welcome, I’m glad you’re here!
